Extra fee of 20 euro charged for check-in from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Extra fee of 40 euro charged for all check-in after 10:00 p.m.

Check-out is before 11 a.m.

Please Note: Since we do not have 24-hour reception at Palazzo Uguccioni, it is very important that you inform us of your exact arrival time. It is best to email us a few days before your arrival to fix a check-in appointment. If your arrival plans are flexible or change at the last minute, please give us updates from the road - by e-mail (palazzouguccioni.checkin@gmail.com), SMS or telephone (tel. 39 333 4765330). For example, it is best to give us an update when you land at the airport or arrive at the train station. At the designated time, we will meet your party at the main door of Palazzo Uguccioni (Piazza della Signoria, 7) to get you settled in to your apartment.

Concierge

Palazzo Uguccioni's apartments are "self-catering", and we do not have on-site reception or concierge services. However, we are always steps away if you find you need something during your stay. We can also offer you recommendations about everything from restaurants and museums, to tour guides and day trips. Please just ask!

Housekeeping

As "self-catering" apartments, Palazzo Uguccioni does not include daily cleaning or linen change, nor can we offer housekeeping of any kind. However, should you require additional cleaning services during your stay, we can recommend a trusted housekeeper.

Palazzo Uguccioni is located in the northeast corner of Florence's Piazza della Signoria - in the heart of the city center. From the palazzo, you step outside into this famous piazza's open-air museum, and walk to all of the city's most famous monuments within minutes. We are around the corner from the Ponte Vecchio, down the street from the Duomo, a short stroll to Piazza Santa Croce, and only steps from the Uffizi. You can't find a better location from which to explore Florence!

Arriving by Train

Florence's main train station is called "Santa Maria Novella". The station is about 10-15 minutes walking from Palazzo Uguccioni; however, we recommend taking a taxi to the Palazzo if you have any luggage, since it can be difficult pulling luggage across our ancient cobblestone streets! There are taxi stands at the station, and you can tell your driver to take you to #7 Piazza della Signoria. Arriving by Plane

Florence's airport is called "Peretola Airport". From the airport, take a taxi to Palazzo Uguccioni at #7 Piazza della Signoria. It will take approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic.

Arriving by Car & Parking

The entire historic center of Florence (generally speaking the part located within the ancient walls of the city) is a "zona a traffico limitato (ZTL)" or restricted traffic zone. Special rules govern access to this area, as well as transit and parking in this zone. It is no longer possible to drive straight to Palazzo Uguccioni in Piazza della Signoria, as it has recently been designated a pedestrian zone. Piazza della Signoria

Palazzo Uguccioni is located in Piazza della Signoria, which has remained the heart of Florence from Medieval times to present day. The square is not only the civic center of the city, with it's most prominent building being the Palazzo Vecchio, but is also a magnificent open-air museum. The Piazza is home to the famous sculptures such as Michelangelo's "David", Donatello's "Judith Slaying Holofernes", a bronze equestrian statue of Cosimo I by Giambologna, and the Neptune Fountain sculpted by Ammannati -- to name just a few of the many works of art!

Palazzo Uguccioni

Some of the most important Florentine palaces surround Piazza della Signoria, and Palazzo Uguccioni is in fact one of these splendid palaces. The building, with its noble and harmonious façade, was created for Giovanni Uguccioni by Mariotto di Zanobi Folfi in 1549 to a design by Raphael.

From the ground floor, constructed with large ashlars forming three arches, two stories rise above and are divided by twin columns of the Ionic and Corinthian order which are set on plinths. On the first floor, above the entrance, is a bust of Cosimo I (currently being restored).

It is in this magnificent building that our five charming apartments can be found and where one may experience an unforgettable stay and enjoy some of the most beautiful views in the world!

Reservations

Please use our simple booking system to check rates and availability, and to book securely and immediately online without any down payment. Our booking system will allow you to check apartment availability and pricing, select the apartment you prefer, and securely submit your credit card information to hold the reservation. Your card will be charged for the agreed amount only upon your arrival (or for the amount due according to our cancellation policy).

Cancellations

Our booking system will allow you to cancel your reservation according to the following cancellation policy: Up to 8 days in advance of arrival date, it is possible to cancel your reservation without any charge. For cancellations from 7 to 4 days prior to your arrival date, we will charge a one night stay to your credit card. Cancellations 3 days or less prior to your arrival date, you will be charge the entire amount due.
